Meet The Team

A&R Head Of Global Operations

Duggie Kyle

  • I began my A&R music apprenticeship, in the early 80', as you do, quite by accident, as a young artist, I isigned my 1st record agreement at the age of 18 yrs to an Indo/Asian label , whose London office was a front for sex trafficking & drug distributions, (Cancelled).

Next, I signed a publishing deal with Chappell Music, in London, UK (at that time, they had just signed Duran Duran) it felt like a plan. I began scouting for Chappell in Scotland, & within weeks I was working with EMI Records, Paul Morgan (A&R manager), & Lincoln Elias, EPIC Records (A&R manager)(CBS, at the time),

Then it all got crazy, & well out of control, (prior to his knighthood) Beatles producer, Sir George Martin called me & asked if I would be interested in assisting the marketing of the 'analogue to digital conversions of the original Beatles masters. Now I may look silly, but I'm not stupid, & he laughed, because I replied 'yes' before he finished his question, I arranged an exclusive interview for top music industry magazine, 'Music Week' with 'Led Zeppilin's, Robert Plant, secured favours for both 'Green Day', & 'Elvis Costello', in Philladelphia, USA

In the 1990's I arranged 40 date UK national tours for both Edinburgh artists, 'The Gin Goblins', featuring former 'Exploited' guirarist, Big John Duncan, who had recently come back from performing 2nd guitar for 'Nirvana' on their 'In Eutero' tour in The States.

I also arranged a 40 date UK national tour for former 'Narareth' guiratist/producer (30 albums, well over 30 million sale units)

In 2011, I worked with 5 times Grammy & multi-platinum awarded record producer, Ron Nevison, www.ronnevison.com. I also spent 3 years working as a European sync supervisor for 'Dearth Music Licensing in Los Angeles, CA.

I still represent Canada's AMG Corp as Head of European Operations under our 39 Gold & Platinum awarded CEO, Mark S. Berry.

For 9 months In 2019 I signed 7 artists to Californian record label, 'Rock Avenue Records USA, possibly not my most favourite shining moment, I am currently repairing that now.

Although I still represent 7 global independent music video broadcasters,

I accepted the position from Dublin's 'Smash Records Global' as their A&R Head Of Global Operations, but brought with me, Chris Adams as my perfect choice of A&R Head Of European Operations, my next move will be establishing an international A&R network, scouts & street teams, regards, Duggie

Strange, crazy but true story, my former wife asked me to nip out to the shops & buy a loaf of bread, I phoned her 4 days later from New York, USA & apologised for forgetting the loaf of bread, & asked if she wanted bagels instead, she either hung up on me, but I like to think it was just a bad connection

A&R Head Of European Operations

Chris Adams

I started my musical journey at the early age of 8 playing drums emulating Bonzo ( Jon Bonham) which led to my first gig at 8 years old standing in for the drummer of my dads band. At the time taken along to Rick Wakeman rehearsals and gigs.

Leaving school at 16 and working in Boiler House studios High Wycombe ( instead of art college which is a long story). Recorded many bands there including Howard Jones, Sex Pistols. Also at that time became close to Ian Waller ( Wal Bass Guitars) who had their workshop in the same yard as Boiler house, which led to session and live work with many of Wal's clients. Paul McCartney, Phil Collins and many more.

Session and live work continued with many known arist' such as Roger Newell ( Rick Wakeman ) Ray Jackson ( Lindesfarne ). Dave Scott Morgon ( ELO) and many more. I still do some A&R work with Mark S Berry' AMG alongside Duggie Kyle.
