Softer Still are an indie dream-pop band from Shepperton, Surrey consisting of Grant Williams (lead vocals/Guitar), Ellie O'Shea (backing vocals/Bass), Alexander Williams (Guitar), Ollie Kitson (Drums).
The indie dream poppers released their self-titled debut EP in November 2016, singles'New Age' & 'Bliss' were released earlier that year. The tracks attracted press attention from the likes of NME and Clash Magazine, while all four EP tracks have been championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music as well BBC Introducing, where the band recorded a dreamy live session in December.
The four piece have caught the eye of American jangly shoegaze outfit DIIV, who invited the band to support them at London's Electric Ballroom in September, an invite that was gladly accepted. Softer Still have generated a devoted fanbase in London playing venues such as The Old Blue Last, The Lexington, The Victoria and supporting dream pop legends The Railway Children.
The band are essentially a DIY project but manage to capture perfect blissful production from their own studio, located in a Shepperton garage where they are currently recording their second EP, expect a new single from the band in April with the EP to follow in the summer.
