Hey! We’re Sidekick.
We’ve been playing music together for about a year now and are already certain that this is how we want to spend the rest of our lives. We want to travel the world playing our music to people who love it. We want to help people in the same way that the music we love helps us.
We formed after Georgia and Reece started throwing together ideas and recording demos in Reece’s bedroom, Georgia knew Tom & Joe from The Academy Of Contemporary Music so she hit then up and we all started jamming and writing together. A little later Adam joined us and so quickly it became clear that playing music together felt right. With the help of a friend we went into the studio in May and recorded our first song entitled ‘State Of Mind’ we released it in September on Roundhouse Radio in London and have since managed to gain a small but very loyal following online. After playing a number of small gigs in Guildford and in the London area last December we were lucky enough to be put on the 'Festive-All' lineup alongside bands such as Kingsland Road and Room94. Playing on this lineup at a packed Islington Academy was a huge achievement for us and our live energy shone through as Georgia got the crowd involved and warmed them up for the rest of the day.
We want to prove to everyone that following your dreams can be worth it and we believe that we can do it.
