Shortparis

Formed in Saint Petersburg, in 2012. Its music is experiment-orientated. Live performances of the band are beyond the scope of the musical concerts, they look more like performative practices of the contemporary art. Impugning the system of the club concerts, "Shortparis" actively performs at unprepared venues: abandoned industrial buildings, open grocery stores and etc. Participant of: • the international festival of the avant-garde art "S.K.I.F." (2013,2015) • the international musical festival Moscow Music Week 2015 The group performed as an opening act for such English bands as "The KooKs", "Lebanon Hanover", for a Spanish band "Sexores" and group "Easter".
In October, 2015 the band had released the single "Моя Россия"("My Russia") and went on the Ukrainian tour, turning it into a social and aesthetic performance. Living through its loneliness, the band sets its sight on finding original musical and art solutions. The band broke up in the autumn, 2020, soon after the musicians had fulfilled their ambitions, and had decided to dedicate themselves to farmery.
