My first album was recorded in the biting winter of 2009 in London Fields. After a few abortive attempts to gather the songs together over previous years, I was contacted by Myles Clarke via MySpace – he was setting up a new studio and looking for artists to work with. Perfect timing!
I could only afford to pay for 17 days in the studio, to include tracking and mixing, so we worked fast. It was magical to hear all the parts that had been swirling around in my head for years come to life and I’ll always have a soft spot for what we created on a crazy tight budget, greasy takeaways and many, many cups of tea.
