Palaye Royale maybe one of the most controversial bands on the scene, but they are most definitely one of the most interesting bands out there. A band that promotes thinking for yourself and having one of the most talented, dedicated fan bases around. After a 3 year run continuously touring and promoting 2016’s Boom Boom Room Side A and 2018’s Boom Boom Room Side B, it was about time they put those two albums to rest, and this just goes to show they won’t stop. Not even a full YEAR since the Boom Boom Room eras have been put to rest, they have dropped a new song, a new video, and continuous hints about a new album. Anyways… about the single. It’s called “Fucking With My Head” and their classic, glam rock meets the stylings of today’s rock has evolved into something more. It’s a lot heavier than their previous material but you can still tell that it is definitely a Palaye Royale song. The guitars, the drum beats, the vocal styling. Everything about the song is true to the Palaye Royale sound, unique, interesting,and diverse. Is it a generic rock song? No! It’s different, and unique and always a pleasure to listen to. The boys went above and beyond with this track and you can tell they experimented. The lead singer, Remington Leith, once said in an interview that he can’t scream. Well, that was a complete lie, because Leith’s screams are amazing. The scream fits perfectly with the title of the song, the mood it’s trying to provide you with. “Fucking With My Head” is the perfect combination of new meets old, and Palaye Royale aren’t going anywhere. The sound which, in my opinion is more evolved and defined, is definitely something to keep you interested, and it has this arena rock feel that is old meets new and is definitely a high energy anthem that a new, more evolved sound for the boys in Palaye Royale, and it is definitely worth the listen!
