Hey everyone,

So, as you may already know, Saarloos consists of Brian McGovern and Craig Gallagher (that's me typing).

We first met back in June 2014 - I think. Back then we were both doing cover gigs separately around Temple Bar. At the time Brian was lead singer of The Fallen Drakes and I was working on my own stuff. Anyway, back to how we met. I had been offered a gig in Norway but they needed two singers (and I needed a drinking partner!) Knowing that Brian liked gigging (and loved a few pints) I gave him a call. A week later we met at the airport and flew off to Norway.

This was around the same time Coca-Cola was doing the bottles with people’s names on them. We thought it would be cool to buy two random bottles and use those names for the weekend. After all, no one had a clue who we were anyway :) I was Harry and Brian was Jacob.

We got to do our first gig in a small Irish pub called "The Pipe" which was on the bay of the fjords in Asker.

From the first song, we clicked! We were like Simon and Garfunkel or Sonny and Cher – Brian was Cher! :-P We were staying in a house in the woods which had a really cool upright piano and on the second night, after a few beers, we wrote our first song - "Stay". Little did I know that over the next few years we would play that song for thousands across the world!
