Ella Janes is an independent singer/songwriter whose music feels like a conversation - tender, unguarded and human. Her songs have a warm, conversational feel, drawing on folk influences like Leonard Cohen and Françoise Hardy.
In 2018, Ella joined Jools Holland on his UK tour, performing in venues across the country, including a milestone appearance at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The following year, her debut album ‘The Hypnotist’ came to life through a successful Kickstarter campaign, supported by a community of listeners she’d met through her travels, busking days, and Berlin’s folk scene.
Since then, Ella has continued to evolve her sound. This year, she released a new EP led by the single ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ - accompanied by a striking dance music video that marked a bold new direction in her artistic journey.
