Line Up

Three piece GARAGE//PSYCH//PUNK from Brighton.

"Brighton based, the three piece have a neat line in gritty garage rock thrills, filtered through a wiry post-punk consciousness. It's the sound of '65, but created in an environment very much drawn from '14." -Clash

"The youngsters in Strange Cages pair jangly, saw-blade guitar riffs and pounding percussion as the musical backdrop, a combination that yields only to the impassioned-to-the-point-of-cocksuredness vocals of the lead singer." - Lineofbestfit

"Built up of whirring guitars and a relentless and poignant vocal, this track has the same ferocity you would expect to hear coating the walls in sweat of the dirtiest, heroin dripping 60′s club. " Far Out Magazine

"Brighton is known as a destination for the odd the dirty weekends, and sleazy psych rockers Strange Cages channel their hometown’s saucy resources on Desert, a Theo Verney-produced wad of wonky-legged riffs and thirsty vocals." - Q Magazine

"Strange Cages possess a primality which suggests a pungent diet of psych garage fuzz: from The Stooges to The Seeds, these guys metabolise their influences with bold panache, creating a fevered serge of sweaty hedonist rock." - Hero

From a dusty attic creeps the haunting sound of French band Dusty Mush, unleashing a lo-fi garage rock onslaught that delves into the heart of obscure psych and punk from the late 60s and the early 70s. Since their inception in 2011, Dusty Mush hasn’t taken a break from experimenting with home recording - laying down their guts on tape. They released their debut self titled 12” EP on Howlin' Banana Records in 2014 and their latest Limited Edition single 'faux Sabotage' sold out within weeks. Dusty Mush are : Cedric Botacchi on Guitar and vocals, Romain Duplessier on Bass and Maxime Said on Drums. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc7_oV0v0fY

Table Scraps formed when guitarist/vocalist Scott Vincent Abbott and drummer Poppy Twist (both real names) moved in next door to each other. After immediately discovering an eerily similar habit for filling their houses with rock'n'roll ephemera, as well as anything in poor taste, they swore to form a band.

Formerly a duo, TJ was added on bass in July 2016 following Scott's skeletal surgery. Aggressively independent, the band produce their own music, make their own art, shoot their own videos and very much run their own show. Live shows are venomous, raw and where Table Scraps have forged their reputation sharing stages with Fat White Family, Yak, Kid Congo Powers, Idles, Buzzcocks, The Stranglers, etc. Towers of venomous fuzz battle reverb-drenched vocals and a broken theremin.

"Dark and brilliant" -DIY "A snarling sensation" -Upset "Debauched garage rock that packs a real punch" -Clash

Recently they supported Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, La Luz, Shannon and The Clams, The Parrots, The Coathangers and toured the UK.

4 piece Garage / Psych band from Bristol.

3 piece Garage Psych band from Ledbury, UK influenced by The Velvet Underground, Joy Division, Dead Meadow and Sonic Youth and once memorably described as sounding like “The Cure meets Hawkwind”… a fuzz-drenched, kaleidoscopic blend of spacey effects, driving bass and powerhouse drumming and the new songs take in fast, frenetic 2 minute punk to experimental psych jams.

“As a three-piece band they seem to have enlisted a couple of invisible members; the sound is more than the sum of their parts and they really meld to make a delicious and intoxicating sonic soup – Hereford City Centric Blog https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEBTQ20knlI

As Mamas are a 2 piece rock n roll band drone band from Evesham comprising Joe Devine on drums and Harrison Baird-Whitman on guitar and vox. They rehearse in a 1960's caravan and have been together for around 3 years. "The band’s set features a number of covers including a medley of The Stones 'Jumping Jack Flash' and Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' and their own material the best of which was ‘Ain’t It Sad’ which takes a swipe at Westminster parliamentarians. It’s good to see young bands writing lyrics with a bit of punch and I’d love to hear more of it. The highlight of the evening for me was their cover of ‘54-46 Was My Number’ by Toots and the Maytals. The band were totally invested in this and Harrison delivered his best and most animated vocal of the night" Herefordshire Live

Insomnichord are a six piece progressive rock band from Bristol. They formed in 2015, initially as a psychedelic rock band, but over the last year have developed their sound into a more progressive style. Their songs are ambitious featuring mind warping soundscapes and eclectic song structures. Expect explosions of synths, guitar and drums in between catchy grooves and tight bass hooks. They wear their influences on their sleeves taking elements from the likes of Todd Rundgren, Hawkwind and more recently Tame Impala but manage to create something fresh and worth talking about.

Insomnichord have supported the likes of Nicholas Allbrook, Acid Mothers Temple, Crosa Rosa and She Drew the Gun in 2016 but lately they have been in the studio recording songs for release in 2017.

"These guys are the perfect amalgamation of King Crimson, Camel, and The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, displaying the best parts of each and a flavour that is all their own" The Flux Presents
