Ren - born Conor Owen in East Ham, East London, to a mum from Dublin and a dad from Liverpool – now calls Newcastle in the North East of England his home. A modern travelling musician, Ren has spent periods of his life living in French Alpine villages, rural communities on the west coast of Ireland and bustling cities in the Netherlands. His debut EP, 'A Calling From The Shore', reflects on these adventures and has to date received over 850K streams on Spotify alone. He has recently supported Old Sea brigade, Sam Fender, Dana Gavanski, Westerman, Dawn Landes and Elvis Perkins - to name a few.

Ren’s recent releases have garnered coverage from Clash Magazine, Indie London, Belwood Music Blog, Folking, Thank Folk For That, Gig Soup, Gig Slutz, With Guitars and many more. Recent radio coverage includes plays from BBC 6 music, BBC Radio Wales, Amazing Radio, BBC radio Bristol and BBC Newcastle as well as numerous local and community radio stations.

Ren’s 2019 releases ‘Blue Hounds’, ‘Spencer Street’ and ‘Willow’ in collaboration with up and coming engineer/producer George Chung, mixed by Paul Gregory (Lanterns on the Lake) and mastered by Noel Summerville (The Clash, The Police, Elvis Costello) are paving the way for Ren’s debut album in 2020.
