Ramona Rose is a 27-year-old Folk & Americana musician based in Leeds, UK. Having grown up in the British countryside immersed in the timeless sounds of The Beatles, Carly Simon and Joni Mitchell, her formative years were spent teaching herself to play a tiny battered guitar and scribbling song lyrics in the back of her school books. Her songs became her diary, a way to express the inner workings of her heart and mind in the hope that others could relate.

Having graduated from Leeds Conservatoire in 2016 after studying under some of the UK’s leading creatives, so far her journey has been one mostly spent on stage as a full-time musician. Her soulful, powerhouse vocals underpin witty, no-nonsense and often heartbreaking lyrics about love and life in your late twenties. Her captivating live shows feature spine-tingling vocal harmony effects and looped percussion, creating an intimate storytelling experience delivered with warmth and candour. Fast-forward a decade since moving to the big city, Ramona Rose is a name that has woven its way into the tapestry of the Northern music scene and beyond.

In 2017, she embarked upon her first independent UK tour, a theme that would follow her throughout the years as she began to fall in love with travel and live performance. Recent years have seen her perform in more than 20 cities across the country, appear on bills below the likes of KT Tunstall, The Shires, Newton Faulkner, and Lucy Dacus, perform intimate packed out shows for Sofar Sounds in multiple locations, and receive support from BBC Radio Oxford, BBC Radio Leeds, Amazing Radio, The Unsigned Guide, and many many more. Her debut EP ‘Welcome Home’ was released in summer 2021, and has since garnered 25,000+ streams on Spotify, attracting 2,500+ monthly listeners along the way.
