The band is riding on a wave of great momentum following a very busy 12 months and is looking forward to the same this year. After their release of the very popular ‘Bessy’ EP they are now looking forward to working on and releasing their single recorded at Castle Rock Studios, Alderley Edge.
The band deliver entertaining sets, engaging you with licks and riffs that fill you with that feel good factor. Reviews "The expectation and buzz from the crowd when they took to the stage was electrifying there was no-way the judges were not going to make them the winners”- Chris Keene, Principle Organiser, Headlander festival.
“I book Purge for The Blind Tiger in Bolton as much as possible, simply, they fill the place and everyone parties hard - Owner, Blind Tiger
“Purge has something about them, I distinctly remember glancing at the band before Purge, and the audience was virtually non-existent. Our host for the day started to announce Purge I had to stop and watch them and I’m glad I did, they WILL be performing next year at Chester Rocks” - Lynsey Jones, Principle Organiser, Chester Rocks.
"It’s hard to think of a specific genre but their humour reminds me of The Lemonheads for some reason, but Purge’s sound is far more riff based rock than Evan Dando’s more lyrical songs. There is an element of The Foo Fighters with Purge, but even that is only cosmetic. Purge already seem to have come up with their own idiosyncratic sound which is very much their own." - The Manc Review http://www.mancreview.com/2014/06/on-the-radar-purge/
"Purge played their unique brand of funky, grungy, bluesy rock with irrepressible energy and a confident swagger. The frontman was truly a force to be reckoned with, rapping and rolling his Rs and his eyes. This band never let go of your interest, just as you’re getting used to one section of the song it changes completely – but it all still fits together so well" - Manchester Rocks
