Bristol based Electro/Pop band Phoenix Club bring to the table an eclectic mix of harmony driven melodies laden with pop hooks, together with 80’s revived ambient synths of Years and Years esque proportions and soaring guitar lines that would sit happily in the ears of any fan of the The 1975. Collectively, these elements will leave you either dancing uncontrollably, or finding yourself overwhelmed by heartfelt vibes, that you can’t quite put your finger on.
As a band, Phoenix Club have had several notable feats. They have played shows with the likes of George Ezra and shared festival bills with the likes of Rudimental, Clean Bandit and Years and Years. To add to their touring catalogue, Phoenix Club have headlined festivals in The Netherlands and Denmark as well as playing shows at prestigious venues in the UK including O2 Academy Islington, O2 Academy Bristol and the Colston Hall.
Phoenix Club have also recorded their debut EP at Peter Gabriel's world famous Real World Studios where they were produced by Marco Migliari (Stereophonics, Robert Plant, Sigur Ros). Their time at Real World Studios led to attention from boutique guitar amplification brand Masotti/Mezzabarba. The band are now fully endorsed by the company.
The band have released their latest EP '#photogram' at the end of April 2016, which was recorded at their very own Puzzlemaker Studios in Bristol. They have been touring the EP throughout the summer, playing festivals and venues around the UK. So far, notable festival appearances for 2016 have included Concert At The Kings in May, where the band played in front of a sold out 5,000+ crowd supporting 10cc, Suzi Quatro with Andy Scott from The Sweet, Marmalade and Big Country, and headlining the Fleece's Bristol Harbourside Festival in July.
The band were recently featured on BBC Introducing In The West. The B-side to their 2015 single, called 'Stop Beat Play' was aired on March 26th and the new single off the latest EP '#photogram' called 'Pushing My Hands Down' was aired twice in April leading to the release of the EP. They were also BBC Introducing's 'Main Event' in July with a special feature on their latest EP '#photogram'.
