Mother Lover - Leeds-based six-piece Mother Lover combine a wealth of past and present musical influences into their music, from late-60s inspired rock and roll with the experimentation of later Beatles records, embedded with The American Songbook inspired harmonies and melodies of Randy Newman, whilst lyrically painting an in-depth and often satirical observation of love, behaviours and contemporary culture. Michigan - Michigan is a 4-piece band from Warrington, UK. Starting as an acoustic trio in the summer of 2015, before meeting Josh who was the sound engineer for one of their gigs. Since the 4 got together they’ve been creating genre-crossing music which is instantly both singable and memorable. Imagine the catchy choruses of recent pop bands such as The 1975, but mixed with the guitar-driven sound of Foo Fighters, and a sprinkling of John Mayer’s blues riffing. The band consists of shared vocals between all six members, made up of lead vocalist Katie Heap, guitarist Roan Jenner, bassist Alex Kershaw, guitarist Ryan Hawkins, keyboardist Charlotte Jones and drummer Harry Whittaker.
Since forming in 2017, Mother Lover have been in the studio working on their debut EP, with their first single set for release in April 2018.
