Motherhood surfaced in 2016 with their own brand of danceable, rhythmic indie. 80’s inspired debut track You Can Be Lonely If You Want earned the band plaudits from the likes of the 405 and Line of Best Fit, whilst sophomore effort Clueless saw the boys make their BBC Radio 1 debut. In August 2017 Motherhood released Save Me to praise from the indie blogosphere, whilst their live show earned them a coveted slot on Abbie McCarthy’s (BBC Radio 1) Good Karma Club in London. The DIY one-shot video for Save Me, filmed in the boys shared flat, encapsulates the band’s approach. Four best friends living together making slick pop songs with guitars.

Pairing their emotive lyrics with a bouncy chorus and catchy guitar lines has already helped the quartet gain widespread backing from the online community (DIY, The Line Of Best Fit, The 405, Clash) and having already rubbed shoulders with Merseyside acts Her’s and Paris Youth Foundation on the live circuit, they’ll be heading out on UK dates of their own very soon.

The Boys have received amazing support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing, Dork, tmrw magazine, Clash and more below.
