The hardest thing to say is how you feel because then it becomes real. While Canada’s Micah Erenberg knows the risk in wearing your heart on your sleeve, the 27-year-old also understands the importance of a shared experience. One that can make someone feel brighter, understood, less alone.
Drawing influence from artists such as Elliott Smith, Neil Young and Jeff Tweedy, Erenberg is undeniably inspired by vintage pop records and singer-songwriter greats, whilst maintaining a knack for creating something that is truly and uniquely his own.
On October 4th, 2019, Micah released his highly anticipated second album, Love Is Gonna Find via Sleepless Records. Lyrically, the album paints a scrambling collage of navigating the loss of love while also providing a rolling, self-effacing pep talk. It’s a kaleidoscope of memories and is ultimately positive and downright life-affirming.
According to the songwriter, Love is Gonna Find You is intended to be shared. “Right now I’m really focusing my energy into getting my music into the hands of those who might need it,” Erenberg says. “I want to create a platform on which I can consistently release new music to the people who want to hear it. If there are people out there who want to hear this kind of music, they deserve to have it, and it’s my goal to get it to them. I’m on a never ending mission to find the deeper meaning of my music. Providing it for people through writing, recording and touring is the only way to do that.”
