Mary is one of the rising stars in the Teesside and North East music scene. 2016 saw a lot of career highlights for the very talented young artist. She signed a management contract in January 2016, and then had a stella year performing around the North East, and further afield in York and Wigan. Mary also played some very high profile gigs such as Wigan Live, BBC Music Day (Middlesbrough), Tour De Yorkshire (Middlesbrough), Middlesbrough Mela, Teesside University Open Day.
Mary was also asked to play at Oxjam Darlington and her set in the Quakerhouse went down an absolute storm, playing to a capacity crowd she wowed the audience.
In October 2016 Mary played her biggest gig so far at The Sage, Gateshead for Music For Youth and Juice Festivals combined event Frequencies. The event took place in the Northern Rock Foundation Hall, the feedback Mary received from the mentor was excellent. Mary is now set to return to The Sage in March 2017 to again perform for Music For Youth as part of their Regional Festival, this time she will play in Hall 1.
To add to this fantastic year she was nominated for Best Social Media Presence at the UBeat Awards 2016.
As part of my management and development I am starting to write my own material, something that I have wanted to do for a very long time, as moving forward I want to be my own artist.
