Luke’s first solo album ALL ROADS was released by Greenhill/EMI last January as a “Romantic yet powerful collection of new originals and covers of all time classic love songs, in a contemporary tribute to Blue Eyed Soul and early Motown”. It included Luke's smash hit “Good Morning Beautiful“ that charted #3 on Billboard AC across the USA and remained “Top 20” for 15 weeks. In support of his ALL ROADS album, Luke has toured extensively across the USA, to date, performing before more than 200,000 live audiences, including 100 concerts as the featured guest performer with Jim Brickman.
Luke’s shows are built around his unique take on the Blue Eyed Soul and early Motown musical landscape. Heavily influenced by such icons as Al Green, Hall & Oates and Marvin Gaye, Luke’s performance delivers an alluring mix of raw energy and passion styled with his own brand of fun, sexy, romantic music. Formerly one half of Gold selling Canadian duo McMaster & James, Luke McMaster cut his teeth with some of the biggest acts of the day, including opening for Christina Aguilera. Following writing collaborations with such global superstars as Rihanna, Luke has returned to his performing roots as a solo artist.
Luke's path as a musician has been full of twists and turns, but he wouldn’t want it any other way. Luke is driven by a feeling that has lyrically found its way into the title track of his first solo album: “Even when I find myself a million miles away, don’t you know all roads lead me back to you”
This spring, Luke completed his second album for Greenhill Productions, a tribute to some of the classic songs from the 70's, called HEART OF SOUL.
Most recently, Luke has turned his focus to his next album, INSTINCT, named after the title track. While ALL ROADS was a tribute to the early influences that shaped Luke’s sound, INSTINCT lands squarely in today’s soundscape as an all new, beat-driven, electro-infused collection of original tracks including the first hit single “NYC”. "NYC", an upbeat, infectious song about the journey to find love lost in the bright lights of the city that never sleeps, continues to gain momentum in clubs and on radio across North America.
