BLOG UPDATE (New album, Festival Season, Jettisoned Video, Tour)
Hello world,
long time no speak. We've been in hibernation for the past few months working towards our next album. We're really excited about how things are going. We've made some serious progress but we've still got a little bit to go. One thing we can say is we know where we're doing it, who we're doing it with and have a pretty clear idea now of what it's going to sound like. Oh and the first song will be coming out in Feb ;-). We're recording it in February at Nave Studios in Leeds. It's an old converted church, an amazing space (see picture below). We've already recorded one track there and it's sounding off the charts. Having done the first album in mid-Wales we're really looking forward to recording this one at home. We'll be working with our friend and in house engineer/producer Tom Orrell, as well as producer/mixing engineer Mike Horner who we met during our time at RAK Studios in London. We feel incredibly lucky to be working with such a solid team.
So as we try and not give too much away in regards to the album other than the fact we can't wait for you to hear it, we'll quickly update you with everything else we've had going on since our last post. The big thing for us before entering this next chapter was ensuring we gave our first album the send off it deserved. We played Rockaway Beach festival, Tramlines and Download festival (all incredible experiences). Here's a fan made video someone posted of us playing Tetrachromat at Download that we really like:

We released one last single, Jettisoned, with an animated video we're all really proud of:

Finally we did one last headline tour around the UK to top it all off. We made some great friends along the way, sharing the stage with Mohit, Chiyoda Ku, Catching Mangoes, Luna Pines, Thee Telepaths, King Purple, No Violet and more. For us, getting to know other bands has been the best thing about being on tour. We're grateful to be able to play alongside such talented and varied acts. Here's an interview we did with our sponsors just days before our departure:

As we turn the page and delve even deeper into our second album, here's a picture of us in Leeds taken recently by our friend Lewis to remind you of what we all look like.
See you soon,
KOYO
