/// LITTLE RÊD ///

Bristol-based Little Rêd creates emotionally charged electro-pop described by Going Solo as a "dreamy soundscape". Her music is a hook-laden soundscape and she's been compared to the likes of Ellie Goulding, Kate Bush and The Japanese House. Originally from Cardiff, Ellie is a skilled guitarist, singer and songwriter. Her debut single “Hell”, co-written with Ed Tullett was premiered on The Line Of Best Fit who called it "One hell of a debut", attributing Ellie with a voice that “speaks to you like something from a dream.”

Since then, she has played live around the UK supporting artists such as C Duncan, Betsy and Half Waif, receiving airplay from Amazing Radio, Tom Robinson on BBC 6Music and Huw Stephens on Radio Wales. Recent slot at Secret Garden Party won her lots of new fans. A new single Ripples produced by Willie Weekes is due at the end of the year.

/// ROOKES ///

Brand new to the scene, hailing from Birmingham, London-based ROOKES (aka Jenny Bulcraig) has spent seven years honing her craft and consolidating her experience into this virtuoso one-woman show. ROOKES is already proving popular in Birmingham and London venues, having opened for the likes of Stealing Sheep and She Makes War. Blending dark, evocative song-writing with mesmerising vocals, ROOKES’ sound is a compounding of brooding heartbreak delivered with a distinctive pop edge. Her debut single is set to arrive on 20th Sept.

/// MERE CHILD ///

Aimee Herbert-Smith makes "Sad Disco". With aural nods to Cocteau Twins and ‘Mirage’-era Fleetwood Mac and drawing comparisons to Vaults and 90’s dance collective Olive, the music of brand new artist Mere Child is dark and fragile, yet soaring and cinematic.

Reviews for MERE CHILD

"Pairing pulsing electronic beats with emotion-packed lyrics, the siren call of Aimee Hebert-Smith’s vocal will lure you to the shore of her musical mind." Line of Best Fit "one of my favorite debuts of the summer" - I HEART MOOSIQ "darkly poignant, self-referential dream-electronica" - Bitter Sweet Symphonies

Line Up

Bath-based Little Rêd creates emotionally charged electro-pop described by Going Solo as "dreamy soundscape". Originally from Cardiff, Ellie is a skilled guitarist, singer and songwriter. She has been performing her own material since the age of fourteen, receiving television and radio recognition under previous guises and now establishing her own sound as Little Rêd.

Her debut single “Hell” was premiered on The Line Of Best Fit, who called it "one hell of a debut", attributing Ellie with a voice that “speaks to you like something from a dream.” Since then, she has played live around the UK supporting several artists including C Duncan, Betsy and Bryde and has received airplay from Amazing Radio, Tom Robinson on BBC 6Music and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio Wales.

Her second single What Love Is (co-written with Ed Tullett ), premiered on Clash and described as 'musically dreamy', explores the space of time at the start of a relationship, lingering on confusion and excitement, as you are falling in love but not quite settled. A euphoric explosion of electric pop, Ellie’s sincere voice creates an emotional impact.

Little Rêd’s music is a hook-laden soundscape, for fans of Rae Morris, Ellie Goulding, Kate Bush and The Japanese House.

With aural nods to Cocteau Twins and ‘Mirage’-era Fleetwood Mac and drawing comparisons to Vaults and 90’s dance collective Olive, the music of brand new artist Mere Child is dark and fragile, yet soaring and cinematic. Aimee Herbert-Smith aka Mere Child has been making music all her life but for the last three years she has been heavily focused on her personal life: marriage, birth and tragic loss. Of beginning to make music again, she says: “I felt the need to start writing and recording in a different way to how I had done before. Somehow, going solo at this point seemed fitting with the content of the songs - more vulnerable and anxiety driven.”

"The gauzy graceful music Mere Child gives us on Not Good Enough is exquisite, swirling unadulterated in a thick fog of ponderous emotion" I Heart Moosiq

"Not Good Enough’ oozes shades of the likes of Cocteau Twins and the vocals of Stevie Nicks, with its own unique electro-pop vibes. Flowing with hazy, synth-heavy melodies and Aimee’s crisp, haunting vocals, the track is filled with a majestic cinematic grandeur" Gigslutz
