Jimi Mack is a singer and guitar player from Belfast, now based in Nottingham. He combines inspirations from pastoral & coastal backdrops with experiences within the city to fuse melodious landscapes, while narrating guileless, poetic ramblings. Influence also comes from songwriters of the 60s & 70, traditional Celtic & English folk, jazz, psychedelia, and the American primitive. Jimi’s music belongs to an eclectic school yet is abundant in originality and ingenuity. Since January 2017 he has been touring throughout the UK, and playing shows in Europe; as well as independently releasing a 4 track extended player.
The debut EP received many accolades, locally and nationally and the physical run has now sold out, thanks to excellent sales in local stores such as Rough Trade. Social media numbers are rising quickly thanks to the captivating live show, particularly when accompanied by the various arrangements of other musicians on stage – most notably percussionist Cameron Worne.
Mack, alongside percussionist Cameron Worne, has embarked on two UK tours throughout 2017, with an additional string of solo dates in Berlin. He is now touring throughout the UK, both solo and with band (Cameron Worne Percussion, Oliver Durner Bass, James Hughes Guitar), and recording numerous ambitious projects. There is also a European tour planned for late 2018.
