Big companies and brands have lots of copycats in the system, the originals are mostly high priced therefore lots of people fall victim to the low price fake stuff. Sometimes the fake looks so good and real you eventually waste money on it, that's why you got to examine them well, look out for all the small details, don't let the seller force you take your time. Here are seven useful tips to help you recognize fake gadgets:
Logo, spelling Of Brand Name and Print Quality: When buying anything at all, I will recommend you first check the name and spelling before you get to the market or shop, you might easily be mislead. The logo is also a special thing so give that attention as well, the print must be clear, smooth and durable, nothing blurry.
Take a good look at the charger: Depending on where you live the charging port and chargers differ, and the charger should be adaptive to your country, if you in Europe your charger should have a special block for European sockets. If the seller gives you a different brand charger from the phone then its a fake, because all original brands know the are responsible for your safety hence most original chargers have smooth insulation and neat metal tips.
Check the packaging:Fake gadgets always have poor packaging while originals have a good returned with the slightest packaging mistake, when buying anything take a good look at the packaging, how smooth neat it is, the logo and print on it, ISBN number or any sort of code. Nothing should be lose inside.
Look inside the user manual: Some fake gadgets manufactures do not take their time to check which manual they add to which product, make sure to check the manual see if it matches what you buying. All the information about the device should be in there again clear and firm print quality, make sure its written in your language, if you cant read it, its either a smuggled device or a brand copycat
Pay attention to the material: Any material be it plastic, rubber or aluminum could be high or low quality, fake manufactures do not spend on proper material, make sure the material is smooth without breaks or imperfections. Take a closer look at the gadget to uncover cheap plastic with bad shape and irregular surfaces
Check if you understand the device language: When buying any device you got to check turn it on and make sure the language is what you want or can be changed other than buying it only to get home and realize its in a different language.
Take a closer look at wires and plugs: Wire quality is the most obvious signs of a counterfeit product. On an original, plugs will fit firmly and evenly, while a fake will be loose and incorrect, the fake sometime have longer plugs or very short plugs, also pay attention to the insulation and the symbols on the it, the wires should be flexible and even in color and the ink should not be fading
