Inwards is British Electronic music producer Kristian Shelley based in Brighton, England. Kristian creates unique environments in sound by combining Analog synthesis with the natural textures of everyday life. His influences range from Break beat and Techno through to Jazz and Ambient music, but more importantly Kristian is influenced by the different thought processes and energies he encounters in the process of creating music itself. With an extensive catalogue of his own material, Kristian released his debut EP, “myopenhead” In january 2015, and has a number of other records coming out in april with Acre recordings and kinaesthetic recordings. Some of Kristian's latest work was commissioned by London fashion week 2014 To be included in an audio visual art installation for the international fashion showcase China.
Kristian's live performances are based around freedom of expression which he achieves through the live manipulation of hardware synthesisers and drum machines to create unique and improvised versions of his vast catalogue of electronic musical works. Kristian is also a session drummer and bass player and has worked with numerous artists in both studio and live environments. Kristian often lends his aural skills to remixing artists works and sound design for moving image.
