Room 3
Local post-punk outfit Room 3 are already making waves. Still in their teens, they channel the frustration of modern society while also capturing its beauty, blending fast-paced rhythms, wailing synths, and blaring guitar hooks with flashes of jazz. The line-up features Daniel Rolph III (guitar/vocals), Pete Holler (vocals/guitar/synth), Leon Base (bass/backing vocals/synth), and Barney Hall (drums).
Taking Back Tuesday
Twin sisters Lily and Ava bring a fresh energy to the stage with Taking Back Tuesday. Students at Downlands School, they’ve been developing their own style influenced by artists like Sam Fender and Amy Winehouse. At HURSTfolk. they’ll be 15, putting their own spin on well-loved songs while showing a glimpse of what’s to come as their songwriting grows.
The Defenders From nearby Ditchling, The Defenders are a rock/indie band formed at Downlands School. Together for four years already, they’ve built a solid chemistry and love of playing live. Highlights so far include winning the school’s Battle of the Bands, and now they’re bringing that same spark to the HURSTfolk. stage.
