Praying Mantis was formed in London, England, in 1975, by brothers Tino and Chris Troy. The heavy metal scene of the late 70s was widely regarded as stagnant; it had become time for a new breed of British bands to emerge in the wake of a dying punk scene, Neal Kay DJ at THE BANDWAGON North London’s premier hard rock disco. Due to Neal’s much appreciated support Mantis were given a platform to air their music which featured the classics 'Captured City' & 'Lovers to the Grave'. Along with bands such as Iron Maiden, Angel Witch & Diamond Head, the New Wave of British Heavy Metal was born.

The band have recently joined forces with new Dutch members vocalist John Cuijpers and drummer Hans in ‘t Zandt who have a vast experience in their fields having toured with bands such as Toto and the Steve Lukather band . This will now add a new and exciting dimension to the bands music and live performances .

The King Lot are a rock trio from the heart of Scotland formed in 2013 by longtime friends Jason Sweeney, Chris Gillon and Michael Fairbairn. Melodic, with a hard rock edge, the band straddle a few rock genres and are fast becoming known for being masters of earwormery. You would also never guess they’re a trio based on the depth of sound they create.

Their self titled debut album was released via Crown Jewel Records, the band’s own record label, to critical acclaim and received rave reviews from the likes of Planet Rock, Fireworks Magazine and PowerPlay.

The band have grown year on year playing shows with like minded rock acts such as Tyketto, The Answer, Inglorious, Big Country and Dan Reed to name a few. They have picked up a loyal fan base along the way, developing a reputation as a solid live band.

2017 saw the departure of Michael Fairbairn and the arrival of young guitarist Jay Moir who has brought a fresh, new dimension to the band. The King Lot are presently recording A World Without Evil, the follow up to their debut album, and a release is expected in early 2018.

The King Lot: Jason Sweeney (Vocals, Bass) Chris Gillon (Drums, Vocals) Jay Moir (Guitar, Vocals)

Doomsday Outlaw
Blood Red Saints

Born in Rigside, Lanarkshire, Scotland Now based in York, Jimi's first Rock band was in 1978, singing mainly Rush & Deep Purple songs & so his passion for, Classic Rock‘ had begun. The next few years brought many hours of practice, singing songs from Paul Rodgers, David Coverdale & Ronnie James Dio for inspiration. He began writing original songs and formed the rock band Sahara whilst spending any spare time attending a gazzillion gigs at the Legendary 'Glasgow Apollo‘, It closed in 1985. Various incarnations of the band ensued including a name change to 'The Hardline' until they were picked up by Wet Wet Wet‘s manager Elliott Davis and offered a management contract on the strength of a demo tape. Showcasing his phenomenal voice, five years of recording demo‘s, touring, notable sell out gigs at Glasgow's King Tut‘s, London‘s 'Borderline Club‘ and a support to Wet Wet Wet in front of 30,000 people at Glasgow Green followed. Jimi continued writing, performing and recording, appearing on Michael Barrymore‘s shows 'My Kind of People‘ & 'Barrymore‘ in 1997/98 and went on to sing at concerts & festivals in Romania, Turkey and Holland. Living now in York, Jimi has continued writing. The vocalist moved on to spend some years as lead vocalist with Tribute Band 'A Foreigners Journey' and he toured extensively in the UK and Rhodes, meeting new friends along the way, and his voice just got better and better so a decision was made to leave 'A Foreigners Journey' and the next adventure started. His latest projects are, a tribute to great American Melodic Rock with some great musicians and friends 'Legends of AOR' who's debut gig was in Spain in front of a crowd of Rhodes Rockers, safe to say it was so emotional that tears were shed, and he recently joined 80's Rockers Lionheart as the new frontman who are about to set off on a Spanish Tour. The band include musicians from Iron Maiden, Praying Mantis, Sweet and The Michael Schenker Band. After recently recording an album of original songs at FML studios in Scotland with Sandy Jones and Greame Duffin he is now starting a new challenge to take his music on the road, and so the Jimi Anderson Group was born. The new album “Longtime Comin’” is a fusion of Classic Melodic Rock and AOR, and the original tunes showcase Jimi’s voice perfectly.
