Fractures is the moniker of 25 year old Mark Zito, who writes, records, produces, plays and sings all of his own material. He crafts the songs in his own studio and brings them to life on stage with the help of his five‐piece band.

In March 2013, Fractures released his debut single ‘Twisted’ to great acclaim. It was the most-‐played song on Triple J’s Unearthed Radio for the first half of 2013, and hit the #3 spot on The Hype Machine, with 350k + plays garnering substantial local and international attention as well as generating admiration from Gotye and Chet Faker.

Second single 'Cadence' has received over 180k Soundcloud streams since its release in September and was given its worldwide premiere by Richard Kingsmill on triple j's 2013. Acid Stag said of the song “a stunning, unique piece of aural bliss”.

Fractures’ third single ‘Won’t Win’ was premiered on Triple J’s Good Nights program and added to rotation upon its release in May 2014. A number of highly influential music sites in the USA, UK and Australia have given their praise including, Indie Shuffle, Hilly Dilly, DIY Mag, Pigeons and Planes, Acid Stag and Indie London, with the video for the single premiered on SPIN Mag in the US and FasterLouder in Australia.

‘Won’t Win’ was added on a number of national radio stations upon its release including Triple J, Koffee FM, Rabbit Radio, Traxx, SBA, Mood Media, Stellar Inflight, SMA. The single also had success on a number of specialist community radio programs including stations FBI, PBS, RRR, SYN, ZZZ, Radio Adelaide and 95B in Auckland.

Fractures was due to play his debut live show in June 2013, but was forced to cancel when he fell and fractured his neck the week before. After a long and challenging road he finally debuted his much-‐anticipated live show to a completely SOLD OUT Worker's Club in late November.

The organic growth of Fractures’ live audience has seen him consistently perform to sold out audiences. The follow up to the debut show saw Fractures perform to a sold out Brighton Up Bar in Sydney and The Toff In Town in Melbourne. Fractures’ EP launch shows last month included a sold out Vanguard in Sydney and 2x sold out Northcote Social Clubs in Melbourne.

Fractures has also appeared at The Hills Are Alive and Splendour In The Grass Festivals as well as in support of Wild Beasts during their Splendour Sideshows. He will be supporting Vance Joy at the Athenaeum Theatre this September as well as playing at Big Sound in Brisbane.
