Become a Friend Of Exchange

Part of becoming a Community Benefit Society is engaging with and listening to the ideas of our Community. During our #SaveExchange campaign we had several people approach asking if there are any opportunities to get involved by donating / investing smaller amounts of money. We decided to create the Friends of Exchange group to allow these people to get involved.

The Share Offer closed on 31st October 2018, but we have taken the decision to keep this option open for those who were unable to become an Investor during our campaign.

Become a Friend of Exchange

You can become a Friend of Exchange (FOE) allowing you to make a donation and contribute towards Saving Exchange and offer input on the future of the venue.

Friends Of Exchange will receive the following perks.

  • 10% off in the Cafe
  • Discounts for selected gigs
  • Invitations to selected special events

Unlike normal shares, the money is a donation and not an investment - This means you can't request to withdraw your donation if the Share Offer is ultimately successful. If in the future shares become available then they will be offered to FOE first and your initial donation will count as credit if you are able to buy one. There will also be no interest paid on donations.

In addition we plan to propose to our Shareholders (i.e. those who have bought a share for £250 or above) to award a amount of shares to FOE relative to the donations raised.

How to donate

A donation of £25* and above will allow you to become a Friend Of Exchange.

We would prefer to accept donations via Bank Transfer as this means we can use all of the money towards bringing down the amount of money we need to raise via our Share Issue. If you are able to pay via Bank Transfer then please email info@exchangebristol.com and we will send you our details.

If you would prefer to pay via Paypal (please remember that fees will be removed from the total or any returned money) then please click the link below.
