Dolly Mavies is a singer-songwriter from Oxford, with Welsh roots and soulful sounds, Dolly mixes soft dulcet tones, haunting vocals and poetic lyrics alongside acoustic and electric guitar to create poignant, honest soulful music.
Dolly is currently working with producer Adrian Banks (ZURICH) recording a new EP which will be released in 2018.
Mavies’ debut EP ‘Behind Closed Eyes’ released in December 2015, climbed to #25 in the iTunes singer-songwriter chart with the track The Rain, placing as a Finalist in the Folk category of the John Lennon International Songwriting Competition (2016).
This summer Mavies supported the US cult band Vesperteen on their European tour in London at The Courtyard Theatre, in addition she landed slots at Cropredy’s Fairport Convention Fringe Festival, Common People Festival in Oxford, Jimmy’s Farm Festival in Suffolk, Umbrella Fair in Northampton, Springtide Festival Oxford, Cornbury Music Festival in Great Tew, Eat and Drink Festival at London Olympia, Brecon Fringe Festival in Wales, and joined friends ZURICH to headline Riverside Festival in Charlbury.
