Hello to all of the Tangent Tribe across the globe!
Well its been a busy summer at Dishy Tangent HQ with gigs, videos, radio appearances, new merchandise and more. We have visited festival stages across the country and much work is going on behind the scenes for our forthcoming album 'Timeless Music'. The wheels have been turning to get our music out there as far and as wide as possible. We always need your help so keep on liking and sharing our social media content. We're proud to see our pages growing and we thank you all for your support as we move onto the next stage of Dishyevolution!
Friday 2nd June - The Lord Stanley - Plaistow
We kicked off June with a local show at The Lord Stanley , just down the road from our HQ. It was a great night of live music from Dishy Tangent with DJ support from our very own DJ Sonic, who spun a few fan favourites and some exclusive Dishy Tangent Remixes. We all had a great time and picked up more local support, thanks for coming along guys!!
Wednesday 7th June - Mummy Matters at HDO - Woodford
June 7th saw Dishy Tangent play a very special networking event, Mummy Matters where we entertained the best of East London's entrepreneurial Mums as they got together to try and make a real difference. Big thanks to Bianca Nixon and Laura Bowers for the recommendation. Its fair to say that Mums love a bit of Dishy Tangent!!
Thursday 15th June - Mummy Matters at HDO - Woodford
June 15th saw Dishy Tangent play a secret show for a very special audience. All we can say is that it was at a secure location for some people that massively appreciate the music from the Tangent quartet.
Saturday 24th June - Trove Acoustic at Red Yellow Blue - Stratford
June 24th saw Dishy Tangent return to the amazing Red Yellow Blue in Stratford. A venue which is part of the Jaguar Shoes Collective has been home to Flat50 and E13Music for the last few months hosting a unique live acoustic music and art night. We brought some new music and visuals for the party crew who helped us set the night off with a swing. Thanks to *Rachel, Nick Jaguar * and Flat50 for hosting such a brilliant night.
Friday 30th June - Absent Kelly Presents - Dishy Tangent with support - O2 Academy Islington
June 30th saw Dishy Tangent play their very first headline show for promoter Absent Kelly. After working with the well known London promoter for over a year, the band were asked to top the bill of a special show at the O2 Academy in Islington. With support from 4 up and coming acts, this night was a big one for Team Dishy. Big thanks to Mark and his team at Absent Kelly, the support bands Ripley, Another Summer, I Am Aquitaine and Friday at 3 and all of our fans who came along and showed us love. What a night that was!
Saturday 8th July - Dark Horse Arts and Music Festival Presents - Dishy Tangent, Little Thief and The Mouse Outfit - Ramsey, Isle Of Man
July 8th saw Dishy Tangent take on another first. It was the very first time band guitarist Adam EEP had made a trip abroad and we were booked to play on the magical** Isle of Man** for the Dark Horse Arts and Music Festival. We were super-excited as we would be supporting The Mouse Outfit - Manchester and possibly the UK's biggest live hip-hop/ rap act on the scene. After storming the stage with an hour of original Dishy hits, DJ Sonic took over the sound system to keep the party going! It was an indescribable experience for the band and the memories will last a lifetime. Big thanks to Barry Fearon at Dark Horse Music IOM for getting us there and we hope to make a welcome return in the future.
Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th July - BARBIE Presents - Dishy Tangent @ Bristol Independents Village Fete - The Memorial Ground, Bristol
July 15th and 16th saw Dishy Tangent headline another brand new event in Bristol, held at the ground of Bristol Rovers FC. This unique event was the brainchild of Andy Dodd, who has a keen interest in music, food, film and cocktails. We met Andy who is head honcho at the Flipside Cocktail Club at ** Live From The Lawn 2016** held on the fantastic grounds of the Tyntsfield Estate in association with the National Trust in Bristol last year. After meeting us last year, he was inspired to put something new on in Bristol. Throwing all of his interests together you get the Bristol Independents Village Fete and Dinema, a family focused experience like no other. We were pleased to represent London alongside our friends The Humerus, and over the weekend we performed twice daily for the people of Bristol. It was also the first time we had a chance to play with a huge video wall...keep an eye on the social media and website to see what happened.
With August looming, Dishy Tangent are ready to take on the 2nd half of 2017 and keep on sending in suggestions of where to play to booking@dishytangent.com
Now get out there, enjoy the sunshine and see you at a show soon!!
