Happy New Year!
Wow, what a year that was! 2018 definitely had its fair share of ups and downs with massive gains for us in one respect and a few major losses as well. On balance, the world was pretty good to us and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone that have joined us on our mission to get our music out there. We are by no means done yet, and our journey is just the beginning so keep on spreading the word about what we do.
We have gained many new friends, fans and followers and we hope you are all ready for what we got planned for later this year. A quick update on the album: Jumping On The Bandwagon
We really wanted to make sure our second album sound amazing for you and for that reason we have delayed the release to give it some much needed care and attention. Our team is working away to get the new digital release ready for late January and we'll keep you updated on the progress. Thanks for your patience and we can't wait to share the new material with you online and at our 2019 run of shows.
Here is a quick rundown of how we finished the year that was 2018!
Wednesday 21st November 2018 - Dishy Tangent & Katie Em -Ef support Dead Reynolds at The Black Heart, Camden.
When we got a call from our man in Norfolk about supporting a band play a gig on London, we naturally jumped at the chance. We've had a string of awesome gigs booked through our new agent Triston so we knew this was gonna be a top night. We last supported the band in their previous form as Phoenix Calling - a heavy hitting rock band with much love for us and our work. They had gone through some changes and rebranded now emerging as Dead Reynolds - led by Callum on vocals and also featuring Luke on guitar, Dom guitar and backing vox, Luke on drums and Ben on bass. Added to the lineup was Katie-MF, a local london acoustic act with some pretty strong and serious vocal presence. The night was a huge success and was reviewed by local press take a look here:
Our performance was at peak time and we delivered another solid set including some new live pieces which went down.
Saturday 24th November - Flat50 Presents Dishy Tangent and Saults At The King Eddie, Stratford
So after a storming 2018 charging up and down the country tearing up stages, studios and sets we decided to play a show a little closer to home. We had an opportunity to support our friends at Flat50, and support an act who have relocated to East London to follow their path. Saults are originally from France and have been working overtime to get on the UK pop scene. They have a tight, funky, poppy sound which worked the crowd into a frenzy, go check out their page here
It was a pretty awesome night all round and we played some of our fan favourites of the last couple of years.
We even got a few new fans, thanks to all who turned out and joined in the show!
Saturday 8th December - SmoothVee Presents The Afterparty, The Catch Bar, Shoreditch
When a friend and fellow musician SmoothVee said he was gonna have a party with a difference we jumped at the chance. He was pulling some serious players together for a one-off live experience and we were the only band to play the stage. We also had a collaboration that was put together specially for the night (our very 1st live performance too!). It was a busy affair and our man DJ Sonic held down decks for SGT Static, M.A.D., Delicia, Eklipse, Brooke Baili, Gritz and Dishy Tangent Featuring SmoothVee. The night was finished off with a DJ set by Darkness who continued the vibes until late.
So now we are onto the next step towards our goal, and we hope you enjoy the rest of the ride. Please keep on liking and sharing and we'll see you on a stage soon.
