/// Moving Pictures /// BBC 6 Music ///National Airplay ///
So, on Thursday 28th March, we had the first national airplay of our new single 'Moving Pictures' on the Chris Hawkins show for BBC6 Music. We had managed to get the song to Chris quite recently and when he told us we would be played on his show, well, it was quite a moment. We've grown up listening to bands that have been broken through shows on BBC6 Music like this and it has been quite mind blowing to sit there listening to the song that we wrote together last year and recorded with Paul Tipler, right there on the radio in front of us.
It was the icing on the cake to the last couple of weeks which have involved:
A successful 5 day South Coast tour with Modern Age Management along with Alibi and Costellos
A SOLD OUT hometown headline show at the iconic Manchester venue, Night & Day Cafe.
The release in physical (7" vinyl) and digital formats of our new single 'Moving Pictures' and B-side 'Lose Control'
Participation in the Northern Exposure Inmusic festival final at the Cavern Club
We've also had an amazing set of festivals booked that include Kendal Calling, Cotton Clouds, Liverpool Sound City and This Is Tomorrow.
Additionally we've a load of exciting and varied dates to announce which will take us on our travels, as well as confirmed dates with our friends Sugarspun on 17th May at their hometown show in Carlisle. We've booked two Under 18 shows on the same day that sold out in hours, we also managed to bag Clint Boon to come down and DJ for us.
Our next big local Manchester show after the U18 gigs is at Loose Cannon in Failsworth. Tickets are on sale now, we've curated a strong local lineup. Anyway, it's time to go and have a lie down and take in the fact that our song was out there on BBC6 Music, thanks so much Chris Hawkins for making our dreams come true.
