An Evening of Cosmic Country and Bluesy Soulful Rock with David James Allen and Kojak and very special guest Tired Kid

Doors at 9pm!

Prepare to be transported as two musical forces converge for a night of genre-bending groove. David James Allen, the prolific songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, delivers a sound that feels like every cool record you've owned. Rooted in a soulful blend of JJ Cale and The Band, with the funky essence of Daptone and Bill Withers, Allen’s music journeys into emotional realms inspired by Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, and Harry Nilsson. His latest album, By The Summertime, continues his exploration of poetic storytelling, drawing from influences like Canadian poets Al Purdy and Nelson Ball.

Backing Allen is Kojak, a powerhouse band known for their unique blend of hard rock riffs, trading guitars, and an airtight rhythm section. With a sound reminiscent of classic and contemporary rock, roots, and blues, Kojak’s energy adds a dynamic edge to the show. Together, they create a transcendent mix of cosmic country and folk infused with blues rock and the psychedelic atmospheres of Pink Floyd.

This collaboration promises an alchemical musical experience where simplicity meets boundary-pushing jams and story telling. Don’t miss this unforgettable evening of music from Prince Edward County, Ontario.
