National Service are a four piece from London drawing influence from the likes of Interpol, The xx, Radiohead and Grizzly Bear. Their debut single 'A Little More Time' encapsulates the bands honest vocals, dense harmony, and brooding hypnotic grooves.
Their second Single ‘Timid Kisses’ is an urgent, restless guitar track that couples National Service’s signature baritone vocal with hypnotic, unrelenting drums. While the tender lyric recalls the fond memory of a love lost, the claustrophobia in the music points towards a more forlorn nostalgia. The song ascends to its frantic climax, ruminating on what is now and what could have been.
Prima Queen is an all female indie/alternative rock band fronted by songwriting duo and best friends Louise Macphail (Bristol, UK) and Kristin McFadden (Chicago, USA). Combining vulnerable and nostalgic story telling with light-hearted lyrical imagery, their bitter-sweet and gritty style draws influences from artists such as Alvvays, Julia Jacklin, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus.
