The Alehouse Sessions with Bjarte Eike + Barokksolistene

Bush Hall, Shepherds Bush, GB

£15
Entry Requirements: Under 18's must be accompanied

IMG Artists and Bush Hall are proud to present The Alehouse Sessions. Founded and led by leading Norwegian violinist Bjarte Eike, Barokksolistene is a baroque ensemble, appearing at once as a chamber orchestra, but also as a pub-band; a free improvising group bringing raw rhythms of Scandinavian folk music to the high baroque.

With their Alehouse sessions, Eike and Barokksolistene take inspiration from old English Alehouse culture, drawing upon the period in England’s history when the theatres were forcibly closed and singing and playing coexisted with talking and drinking. The result is an evening of virtuosic musicianship and an organic fusion of styles, and air of a late-night jamming session.

To celebrate local brewery and our ale sponsors, the craft beer obsessives at Moncada Brewery, will be serving a range of their Notting Hill ales in a pop up bar at the venue.
