March 18th sees the release of the first single and title track from John Joseph Brill’s second EP, ‘False Names’ on Killing Moon Records. Recorded at Liverpool's Elevator Studios, the EP will be released in Spring 2016. Having returned from a 10-date European tour with Daughter he is now readying himself for headline shows at London’s St Pancras Old Church on April 6th and Liverpool’s Scandinavian Church on April 8th.

His songs resound with soul-bearing intimacy and a sonic intensity all hung around Brill's brandy-warm baritone. Speaking about the track he explains “It's a song about a best mate, a tremendous, beautiful, flawed best mate who I wouldn't change for the world and how a mate like that can take you rampaging around a town and make all the darkness and nonsense disappear.”

Jordan Mackampa is a man made up of misspelt lyrics, milky tea and Etta James records playing on a vintage wooden steepletone. He is a hand-stitched soulster in every sense of the word.

Hailing from the Democratic Republic of Congo and growing up between London and Coventry, Jordan combines his timeless soulful voice with melodic sun drenched tones to create beautifully crafted songs that are a joy to have stuck in your head all day long.

Described as “the impossible love child of Elvis, Roy Orbison and Townes Van Zandt”, Marlon Williams is a 2-time New Zealand Music Award winning singer-songwriter touted by Rhythms Magazine as the “Artist To Watch” in 2014.

Living up to the hype, Williams has been announced on Meredith, Queenscliff, Wave Rock and Mullumbimby Music Festivals, has official showcases at Big Sound and AWME, supported First Aid Kit in July and will support Justin Townes Earle in October, and sold out over half the dates on an epic 27-date single release tour in July/August.  He has also featured on national TV for SBS’ Rockwiz show and was invited to perform at the Sydney Opera House for TEDx Sydney in April. Williams is due to release his debut solo album in February 2015.

Background Williams first came to recognition in New Zealand at only 17, fronting acclaimed alt-country band The Unfaithful Ways. They supported Justin Townes Earle and Band of Horses, featured on an internationally released Townes Van Zandt compilation and were nominated for the Critics Choice award at the 2011 New Zealand Music Awards. Showing a willingness to push boundaries, Williams then joined Delaney Davidson for a series of duet albums titled “Sad But True – The Secret History Of Country Music Songwriting”, winning the New Zealand Country Album and Country Song of the Year in 2013. Relocating to Melbourne in July 2013, Williams built a word of mouth following performing a 2-month residency at the Yarra Hotel and supporting the likes of Robert Ellis (US), Jordie Lane and Wagons. This culminated in packing out the Toff In Town for the release of his physical only, ‘Live at La Niche’ album.
