BOYS formed in late 2014, based on a mutual appreciation for the lo-fi/shoegaze scene. Initially BOYS released a handful of small demos throughout 2015, receiving a great response from the online community, racking up over 15,000 plays in a short space of time. They then began performing live on the London music scene playing at some key venues such as The Old Blue Last, Birthdays & Moth Club
BOYS released their debut EP "American Dream" in summer 2016. Recorded and produced by Max Bloom of Yuck and previously Cajun Dance Party. The collaboration took the initial demos to a new level, perfectly blending Max’ unique lo-fi production style with the innovative song-writing of the band.
After playing their first shows in America, BOYS released their follow up EP "Dreamland" in summer 2017. The EP gained positive reviews from the likes of DIY, Clash & Gold Flake Paint whilst the third track from the EP "Why Were You Alone" hit no 1 in the Amazing Radio top 40 chart.
2018 saw BOYS release their new single 'Hollywood' which again picked up positive reviews from Clash and DIY. They then took a hiatus for the remainder of the year to work on new songs.
2019 will see BOYS return with a new single and shows in London and New York.
DIY - Wrapped up in effortlessly swooning jangly chords, dusty yet still strangely powerful drum beats and laid-back vocals, it’s a track that captures that feeling of being caught in an illusion
CLASH - Sumptuous, beautifully composed slabs of sound, each song seems to drift past in a somnambulist haze, caught in its own imagination.
