Bare Jams are an upbeat, fun lovin' collective. Self described as 'Poppy-Funk with a sneaky bit of Reggae and Ska'. Their fun rhythms involve catchy lyrics about twists on day-to-day life, parties, their pet gnome and the Hokey-Cokey sometimes even some politics and other meaningful stuff. They'll have you chillin', then get you skankin', even put a smile on your face. Organic and freshly brewed party vibes, which really shouldn't be missed.
Founded by Ollie (vocals/guitar) and Sam (drums/percussion) in 2011 as a busking duo, Bare Jams quickly grew into the 6-headed party phenomenon we know today. After the release of their first EP ‘Rigglet’ in 2014 the journey really started. Now they drive their van ‘Linda Dotty Vagabond’ from country to country, spreading joy as if life’s a soda commercial. Their big ol’ farmhouse is the centre of creation, leading to plenty of new material. Their EP ‘Cold Treats’ has been released in the Netherlands with This Could Be Your Music Label in December 2015.
On the live side of things, Bare Jams have supported La Pegatina on their Dutch club tour in December 2015. Together with their Spanish amigo’s, they played the country’s best venues including Melkweg (Amsterdam), Effenaar (Eindhoven) and ‘t Paard van Troje (Den Haag). They also supported and shared stages with Will & The People, By The Rivers, The Beat, Tree House Fire, BabyHead, Wille & The Bandits, Yes Sir Boss!, Odjbox, Biggtop, Too Many T's plus many more. The summer seasons see them play a good string of UK festivals including Boomtown Fair, Kaya, Curious Yellow Weekend as well as European shows in Holland and Belgium.

It all started early 2011, as an acoustic Duo - Ollie and Sam. After a year of weird gigs, busking, a 6 track demo, 2 Ford Fiestas and a Peugeot 106 and a move to Guildford they started jamming with friend and Bassist Dave Tyler. March 2012 Bare Jams’, as a three piece, recorded a 4 track demo which featured songs ‘Calendar Song’ and ‘Make Your Mind Up On Me’ and displayed a much more chilled acoustic pop rocky sound to the more familiar upbeat funk reggae Bare Jams. With some new inspirations and some fresh ideas in combination to the discovery of interesting styles the three piece started recording their 1st EP – Beautys! During the process they invited Robin Bayley to come down and put some trumpet on the new recordings, it was then Ollie, Sam and Dave decided Bare Jams needed to ditch the trio thing and become a collective. So September 2013, with the release of Beautys! EP and the single ‘Chase The Sun’ the additions of Dom Brench (percussion, BV’s) and Robin (trumpet/Keys) Jamie (Sax) were made. Additional changes to the line up have since happened. Jamie left – Ben Fountain (Sax) stepped up. Then the Departure of Robin meant the arrival of Seb Skelly (Trumpet) and Pat Davidson (Keys), now a happy 7 piece with solid vibes. Since this Bare Jams have recorded and released 2nd EP – ‘Rigglet’ and now undertaking a busy summer and year of shows and festivals appearing on the same line ups and supporting acts such as The Beat, Terry Hall (The Specials), Yes Sir Boss, Will and The People, By The Rivers, Wille and The Bandits, Prince Fatty, Tree House Fire and more. With 2 EP’s – ‘Beautys!’ And ‘Rigglet’ under their belt, they plan to follow up with some single releases over the next year and other exciting new adventures.
