Customising your profile

  • Our quick-start guides take you through some tips and tricks on how to get the most out of the Music Glue platform. This guide looks at how to customise the design of your Music Glue profile, covering the following:

  •  Add a banner image Add a banner image
    • For best results, create a banner to the following dimensions: 1000 (w) x 400 (h) pixels.
    • You can choose a PNG file saved with transparency which sits over the background image that you will add later, or you can choose a flat JPEG.
    • Go to ‘Profile’ > ‘Design’ and upload your banner.
  • Add a background imageAdd a background image
    • Create a background image. 1900 (w) x 1400 (h) pixels are the best dimensions to work with.
    • Go to ‘Profile’ > ‘Design’ and upload your background image.
    • If you uploaded a flat JPEG banner, you can select a colour which matches the background of your banner. You can also change the colour of the buttons, and the page title font to match your theme.
  • Add extra pages to your profileAdd extra pages to your profile
    • You can customise the titles of your pages. Go to ‘Profile’ > ‘Pages’ and click the relevant page to edit the title.
    • Drag and drop to choose the order they appear. The first one will be your default front page.
    • Please note that changing the titles will change the urls for each page.
    • You can add extra pages with custom text, e.g. a ‘Contact’ page. Un-tick the ‘Use biography’ box to add your own text.
    • Add your YouTube channel. Click the ‘Videos’ tab and enter your YouTube username to display the videos on your channel.
    • On the ‘Listings’ page you can choose to display an image next to each event if you like, just tick the ‘Show image’ box.
    • On the ‘Shop’ page you can display products as a grid or list layout. Select either the ‘Grid’ or ‘Rows’ box.
  • Add widgets to the sidebarAdd widgets to the sidebar
    • You can add widgets to your profile's sidebar.
    • Go to Profile > Pages > Sidebar
    • Choose from YouTube, Featured Product, Highlight Event, Facebook feed.
    • You can drag and drop to re-order your widgets.
  • Connect your profile to FacebookConnect your profile to Facebook
    • You can set up a tab on your Facebook page which allows users to buy and download items from within your Facebook page.
    • Make sure you are signed into Facebook as your fan page.
    • Go to ‘Apps’. Under ‘Power Ups', click the ‘INSTALL’ button under the Facebook section.
    • Ensure you select the correct Facebook page from the drop down menu to add your tab to.
    • The Music Glue tab will now have been added to your Facebook page.

    • You can change the default Music Glue tab icon to an image of your choice.
    • Create the image of your choice in Photoshop or similar image editing program, using the dimensions 111 (w) x 90 pixels (h)
    • Click the down arrow button to the right of the Facebook page tabs and then click the pencil icon in the corner of the tab. Go to ‘edit settings’ from the drop down menu.
    • Select ‘Change image’ and then upload your new image.
    • You can also rename the tab with a new title.
    • To move your tab to the top line so that your fans can see it, click the down arrow button to the right of the tabs, and click the pencil icon in the corner of the tab again. Then choose ‘swap places with…’ and choose the tab you want to swap it with.
