This concert by the Bellot Ensemble is a celebration of the creativity of the composers from the Baroque period, to create programmatic instrumental music, vividly depicting everything from galloping horses to a war march. The programme includes selections from the lesser-known composer Carlo Farina, the slightly better-known Heinrich Biber, together with Burlesque de Don Quixotte, Georg Telemann.

Bellot Ensemble
Bellot Ensemble is a London-based early music group established in 2014 at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and formed of graduates and students from Trinity Laban and other London music conservatories. Bellot Ensemble has a close relationship with the students at Trinity Laban and with Greenwich, London. The Ensemble prides Itself on including concerto's from It's talented members in most concerts performed.
Bellot Ensemble plays a wide stylistic spectrum of the early music repertoire with the goal of informing the audience whilst exciting the listener. Bellot Ensemble was formed and is lead by Edmund Taylor, who is part of many other period instrument ensembles in and around London, often working with renowned professionals in the Early music field. Edmund is currently having lessons from Simon Standage (Professor of Baroque Violin at Royal Academy of Music), and Adrian Butterfield (Professor of Baroque Violin at Royal College of music).
