CoVid19 – Amplified Festival Update...MAY
Following the most recent government recommendations on continued social distancing and mass gatherings that look set to continue throughout and beyond this summer we are beside ourselves with disappointment to announce that this year's returning Amplified Festival is unable to take place.
An as a fledgling organisation we respect the government’s mandate and recognise it is made with the best of public health intentions. This decision has been taken in order to protect the health & safety of not only you, our audience, but also our volunteer staff and stage crew, those musicians due to perform, and the various other contractors who make the event what it is. Safety, will and always shall remain of paramount importance to the event as it does many others.
Alongside last year's enforced cancellation this current CoVid19 pandemic couldn't have come at a worse time for an event aiming to relaunch at our new site in Tewkesbury, so believe us when we say we're doubly disappointed at making this tough decision, but we hope you can appreciate it is the right choice to make at this time.
Up till now I'd been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure Amplified could still offer the top quality experience enjoyed in previous years and although we've looked at later dates in this calendar year we still can be 100% sure the live music industry will be operating at the level required to make the event a success and the event that, all of you who support us deserve.
We are pleased to announce that next year we aim to get you all Amped again on the 31st July and the 1st August 2021 with the majority of those acts previously booked already confirmed to join the line up along with a few acts we've yet to announce.
And the good news is that all tickets will automatically be valid for next year’s event and if you already have your ticket, you do not have to do anything to reserve your place at Amplified 2021. Your existing ticket is now your ticket to 2021.
Should you require a refund you will be contacted by Live It ticketing shortly to process any refund requests.
All of us here at Amplified stand alongside (whilst adhering to social distancing) all those who are looking forward to a return to normality, going to gigs, supporting grassroots music and independent music venues along with all other outdoor music festivals around the world affected by CoVid19.
