Hailing from Motherwell, Scotland; A Sudden Burst of Colour create atmospheric, semi-ambient, energetic rock music that hits hard live. Projecting sun-blushed, shimmering orchestrations, there’s a definite atmosphere to their music; a blissful serenity translated through the busily syncopated guitar and bass melodies and intertwining dance rhythms. (Good Grief Records)
The instrumental quartet are currently signed to Good Grief Records and have 4 globally acclaimed EP releases under their belt, which is evidenced by features from : BBC Introducing, The Scotsman, Earmilk (USA) , Arctic Drones (Turkey), Stereofox (Germany) & many more. Sync deals have also been acquired with BBC Scotland (TV) and A Crows Nest Films.
Upon the release of Ambivalence (2016), the band have embarked on extended UK tours which included a sold out show at Glasgow's Nice N Sleazy, and headline slots at Rough Trade Records (Nottingham), The Shacklewell Arms (London), Nottingham Contemporary (Nottingham) and The Electric Circus (Edinburgh).
