Over the past few days, our latest song Lockout from the Narrowboat Sessions has exploded across Facebook — from just 2,500 views on Monday night to over 450,000 by Wednesday evening and 1.5m by Friday! The response has been incredible. We are so pleased with new people discovering 5 Hills Out every hour. We are so excited to announce we’re playing at Y Not Festival this summer. It’s officially SOLD OUT! We thank you all for helping us get back in the Peaks where we are from, it is going to be special. We will see those that have tickets in the Hog & Barrel on Friday 31st July

We’re buzzing to announce that 5 Hills Out will be playing at the Derby Food Festival on 9th May. It’s one of the region’s biggest community events, packed with incredible food, local makers, and a whole day of live music — and we’re chuffed to be part of it. Seems too long since we played live but that doesn’t mean we’ve not been working hard on some new material! Check out the gigs page for more details.

3 Seasons of Festivals Incoming!

We’ve got a brilliant run of festivals lined up this year, and each one brings something a little different to the 5 Hills Out journey. Here’s what’s coming up…

StourJam – 6th June 2026

A brand-new one for us, and we’re really looking forward to it. StourJam has a great reputation for championing local music, and we’re excited to bring our sound to the Rock Tavern for the first time. A relaxed, friendly event — and free entry — so it should be a lovely way to kick off the summer.

Off The Tracks – 5th September 2026

This one feels special. Off The Tracks has been on our radar for years, and finally getting the chance to play it is a proper milestone. It’s a festival with a loyal following, a cracking atmosphere, and the kind of crowd that really listens. We’ve been trying to get on this bill for a long time, so announcing it at last is a real buzz.

Derby Folk Festival – 9th October 2026

A huge moment for us — and a home-town one at that. Derby Folk Festival is one of the biggest folk events in the region, and being invited to perform there means a lot. We’re especially excited to bring a few Derby-inspired songs to the set. Playing them in the city that shaped them is going to be something special.

We are please to announce 📣 not 1 but 2 gigs on the 4th October to blow the autumnal blurs away! First up is a return to Beeston for what will be our 3rd Oxjam appearance! We are onstage at 4pm at The Star Inn. Then we pack up our gear and head back to Derbyshire to play the Wirksworth Beer Festival at The Maltings at 9pm.

We are pleased to announce that we are joining Ferocious Dog for this years Dogfest. We will be joining Ferocious Dog at this epic all-dayer, at the oldest music hall in the country: Victoria Hall Settle. This iconic venue will play host to a packed schedule of live bands. Jack Kendrick, Not Quite Dead Yet, The Cloverhearts and Headsticks will also be on this amazing bill!
