100blumen are back! The punkest of all German Electro-Punk bands are back on track with two new ones on a vinyl 7” Single. On its A-side, we can look forward to OKTOBER, written and recorded originally by Koyaanisqatsi in 2004, covered 100blumen-style. It is sung by Chris, who joined 100blumen after playing in Koyaanisqatsi. The cover version comes along in a new dress made of synthesizers and blasting Electro-bass, without losing its original flavor of depression. Additionally, featured artists have been in the studio together with 100blumen for this track: Henrik of Dörtebecker and the guys from Turbostaat. On the B-side, it’s down and dirty again with FENCES. As per usual Marcels vocals give you that well-known, slightly high-wired 100blumen-feeling. What starts as a fast-paced punk-song soon morphs into a battering hardcore-track. The lyrics settle the scores with bigot racists and far-right idiots. From melodic to noisy, whether electro, hardcore or classic punkrock – these two tracks have it all.
