Violent Virtues are a 5 peice death metal band from Plymouth, England. Formed in 2006 under the original name 'Ascension of Ashes', the band have gone from strength to strength in the previous years. From playing classic thrash with influences from Testament, Exodus, Metallica etc, to nasty death metal with influences from Decapitated, Bloodbath, Whitechapel, Despised Icon, TBDM etc, Violent Virtues have created a unique sound which is hard to match. Voted Best Unsigned Metal Act 2010 by PlayMusic, and taken part in various BOTB competitions across the years, aswell as playing sell-out shows with such acts as All Shall Perish, Trigger The Bloodshed, Belphegor, Whitechapel, Skeletonwitch, Goatwhore etc, Violent Virtues really do not show any let up. Having gained a very strong following in the south-west, the band and all their fans are anticipatiing the release of the latest EP 'The Aftermath' which will be available later on this year.
