Appearing at this years OXEGEN FESTIVAL on the IMRO NEW SOUNDS STAGE on Saturday 12th July are The Red Labels, a four piece alternative indie punk band from north Dublin who in the past few months have managed to capture the ears and imagination of music fans throughout the city and beyond.

Described by many as an indie rock band struggling to control a relentless punk sound, The Red Labels (Dean, Richie Paul and Conor) will release their first single FIRE on Friday 4TH JULY 2008. A second single will be released in October 2008 and this will be followed by the release of their debut album in early 2009.

The past few months have seen the lads taking their energetic live shows to the stages of some of Ireland's most renowned venues. Playing live is what The Red Labels love to do and it shows, recent events have included winning the JACK DANIEL'S SETS in Dublin's Crawdaddy as well as bagging an impressive second place out of two hundred and fifty bands in the final of PHANTOM FM'S BATTLE OF THE BANDS which was held in The Academy.

Unsurprisingly, the remainder of 2008 looks set to be a very busy few months for The Red Labels. Upcoming events on the calender include the GRAND FINAL of Dublin's KING KONG CLUB battle of the band's as well as appearances at two of Ireland's most exciting new boutique festivals, this years CASTLEPALOOZA and SOLAS festivals.
