The Reason formed in 2003 with the intention of creating an entertaining live band with songs to match. All average musicians at the time, they set about learning their instruments to the best of their ability and played their first gig at christmas time 2003.

Fast forward five years and the original line up (minus original drummer) are a well established band on the Southampton music scene and the souths scooter/mod scene. Having supported the likes of The Rifles, Little Barrie and 5 o clock heroes to name a few, playing shows around the country and notching up around 100 gigs.

2008 saw Sted join the band on drums, giving The Reason a slightly funk and ska twist to their sound. A recent win at a battle of the bands has seen the band secure a spot at the Hemsby scooter rally in November, and the chance to play their music to a new audience.
