Though there have been many attempts to recreate the circumstances surrounding the mysterious origins of The Poor Souls of Pompeii under laboratory conditions, scientists have so far only succeeded in creating miserable half-forms, lacking style, melody, form or poise. Meanwhile the originals, half drunk on adrenalin, half drunk on 140 bpm beats and half drunk on moonshine (making them 150% mullered) continue their non-meteoric rise (non-meteoric because, unlike a meteorite, they are heading up and towards the stars) to the position they deserve, delivering on their mission to produce pop songs to which you can both dance and sing. Their debut EP, These Are The Mistakes Amateurs Make, is still available in limited quantites at Big Cartel, whilst the more technologically savvie can download tracks for free from here.
