Having relocated to the UK from Melbourne Australia, several years ago, The Kits swiftly signed to prominent London garage rock label Dirty Water Records (Los Peyotes, Hollywood Sinners, The Urges etc.).
Their groundbreaking debut album ‘Primitive Tales' was released in late 2008, which has resulted in the band receiving attention from press in the UK and their native Australia, as well as parts of mainland Europe.
The Kits sound can be described as injecting an eternal youth to the stomp and grit of the 50's and 60's with their snarling vocals and relentless guitar hooks. Drawing comparisons to The Sonics, The Black Lips, Gang of Four, The Velvet Underground and The Saints, the bands' unforgiving approach to their music has earned them supports with the the Dirtbombs, Jim Jones Revue, The Saints & Wolfmother and many others.
The Kits consist of brothers Kit and Jay Atkinson, and Owen Eszeki of Australia, along with Spanish guitarist Marc Bonet.
