Today's music group "The James Boys" has no connection with the UK group of the 1970's. This group is in the here and now and is based in the USA. Comprised of several current and former Missourians, the group says, in a "tongue in cheek" manner, that they chose the name because they wanted to "channel the spirit of the Missouri outlaw". They arrived on the world stage in 2005 with their duet release with legendary Rock Hall of Famer, the now deceased piano icon Johnnie Johnson.  Entitled "The James Boys and Johnnie Johnson", the tracks were met with critical acclaim and sales around the globe. TJB frontman and songwriter Rick Rykart, who wrote the historic tracks, called the release "one of the great moments of my life" and gave "all thanks to Johnnie". The James Boys next record, the solo release "A Really Good Rocker". followed while TJB entertained live audiences all the while. Now in production of their next release The James Boys look ahead to playing in Europe once it is complete.
