The soul of country music is a dark one, and one band that takes that and shape it into captivating live set is The Flying Spider Revival.

Described as Nick Cave meets Neil Young their resonant melodic style appeals to an audience with a deep apreciation of roots country rock.

They've built a following over the last two years playing local venue's like The Barfly, TJ's and The Garage.

Their acoustic sound is also driven by Country Bob's Double Bass 'Jezebel', a visual treat at their live shows.

"What we really want is to reach out to an audience that loves strong songwriting with an appreciation of singer songwriters across the decades such as Townes Van Zandt through to Ryan Adams" said lead vocalist Bean, "we play because we are music fans ourselves and we've found that both our originals and covers (sometimes obscure gems) strike a chord with music lovers".
